December New Releases Giveaway Hop! (INTL)

HOW IS THERE ONLY LESS THAN TWO WEEKS UNTIL CHRISTMAS AND LESS THAN THREE UNTIL 2017????

I don’t understand where this year has gone – it’s flown by so fast and so much has happened, I really just need a Time Turner for Christmas, thank you and goodbye. I’m back in Sydney where it is stinking hot, so if you would like to trade me one hot summer for one freezing cold (snowy) winter, I will be very happy!

This year is a funny one for me – it’s the first Christmas I’ll be spending not with family, which will be strange. The UK has spoilt me for Christmas now; for me Christmas is winter, cold and (hopefully) snowy. Once you have a white Christmas, I think it’s hard to go back to our Summer ones here in Australia, even though that’s what I’ve grown up with! On the plus side, I had a lovely time with my family in WA at the end of November, and I brought back a ton of books with me, so happy dance! Aside from binging on Hallmark Christmas movies, I’m finishing off watching Jane the Virgin and Stitchers, two of my fave TV shows – and I still have to watch the Gilmore Girls revival!

So let’s without further ado head on to the best part of this post – the giveaway! Normal rules apply, but for those who are new (or don’t remember), here is the gist of it:

ONE (1) winner will win ONE (1) November New Release to the value of AUD$30. And as long as The Book Depository ships to you, anyone can enter! Not sure if that’s you? Check here. The winners will have 48 hours from me contacting them to say hello, or another winner/s will be chosen.

Last month’s winner was Kait, who chose This Is Our Story by Ashley Elston. What a great choice!

Love Actually is my favourite recent one. I also love Santa Claus: The Movie because of the fond memories of watching it with my mum, sister and nan every year.

  2. I think it would be really strange to have Christmas in the middle of the summer! haha As for my favorite holiday film, I really love Love Actually and How the Grinch Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey.

  3. It’s a toss up between The holiday ( 2006) is with Cameron Diaz ,Kate Winslet ,Jude Law & Jack Black and Christmas with the Kranks (2004) with Jamie Lee Curtis and Tim Allen

  4. I love the comedy of “Elf”—I think it’s so important to laugh with your family during the season. And I also love “Scrooged.” It’s a kind reminder of the real meaning of Christmas.

  5. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity! I’m really not looking forward to Christmas this year, unfortunately. I’ve had a terrible last few months, and I’m looking forward to a fresh start of sorts in 2017. Also…Christmas signifies that Summer is well and truly here, and I’m not a big fan of that haha. I’m hoping to be spending my next Christmas in England, and I can’t wait to experience a white Christmas.

I’m glad you had a good time visiting WA.

I’m not a big fan of Christmas movies really, but I do love Home Alone and The Grinch.

My favorite holiday movie: the original “A Christmas Carol” with Alastair Sim. And “A Christmas Story.” Okay, those two equally.

  7. Jan Lee

Elf with Will Farrell for comedy holiday movie; A Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim for classic holiday movie 🙂

  8. Rebecca

Home Alone is always a classic. My recent favourite is The Spirit of Christmas! Do you have Netflix? If you do, watch it, Hannah!

“Love, actually” is really sweet! I think my favorite holiday season movie is “The holiday” ♥ I simply LOVE the story, the characters, the actors and actresses. That movie is everything that is right and perfect in this world ahaha ^^ Have a happy and joyful holiday season, Hannah! And thank you for a new giveaway 🙂
